The Client

Designed by Rietveld Architects from New York, the office building "NewTon House" is located in the "Rijnsweerd Noord" office park in Utrecht, on the east side of Utrecht between the Uithof and the city center of Utrecht.


The Challenge

The client has a large office building with various landlords, tenants, and frequent visitors. This complexity made internal communication challenging to maintain. The challenge was to enhance internal communication and keep visitors and employees informed at all times. We found the key to a smarter and more efficient office building.

We began by researching visitor and employee communication touchpoints. This research identified strategic mounting points for screens. The strategic mounting points, along with the carefully chosen digital signage strategy, ensure that screens have maximum reach and everyone stays up-to-date easily. Visitors are welcomed at the garage with narrowcasting screens and further informed at key touchpoints such as the reception area, lounge, and coffee areas.

Another challenge was to assist visitors in finding their destination. To professionally welcome visitors, the platform was expanded with a digital reception. The digital touch kiosk streamlines the process at the reception and frees up additional administrative resources. This way, all visitors are received 24/7, even when the receptionist is not around.
