The Challenge
Our client, situated next to Europe's third busiest airport, offers unique office spaces. An energetic atmosphere and a fast-paced work environment are integral to the client. Transitioning from static to digital wayfinding signage was crucial. Additionally, updates to signage and office name changes were not efficient. Implementing changes consumed time and money for the client. Hence, finding a sustainable solution to enhance building efficiency and provide better wayfinding services to visitors was essential.
The Process
Like every project, we began with an assessment, identifying the problem, objectives, users, and expectations. Following the research, we commenced the digitization of static signage. A blend of Smart Wayfinding and Sustainable Signage proved to be the perfect solution. We retained the design and layout of the static signage.
A crucial aspect of digitization was ensuring our client could easily operate and adjust the signs as needed. To achieve this, we developed a user-friendly CMS system. With this system, company names can be easily updated, ensuring the signage is always current.
Increased Efficiency through Digital Mailbox and Nameplates
To address the issue with mailboxes and nameplates, another significant change was implemented: digitizing mailbox information. Using digital signage, mailbox numbers are displayed alongside the corresponding company names. To maintain consistency with the overall branding, the same layout was applied here as well.
The Result
The digital wayfinding is now showcased in The Base. The client saves costs on replacing and updating names through its digitized wayfinding. The outcome? An economical and sustainable solution that enhances the building's overall appearance. New name changes can be implemented in a fraction of a second. Visitors are welcomed, can easily find the wayfinding at strategic locations, and know which floor to go to, remaining up-to-date at all times.
